Changes to your study program

Hello Everyone

This blog i going to write about the changes i would like make in my career and study program.
In first place i going to speak about my career. I study sociology and this career work about the organization and analysis of society, this mainly from theory and statistics.
One of the main things to change, has to be the little connection of the race with society, that is, practical work. It is also necessary to integrate new notions about new social theories, without having to ignore classical theory, but complementing it.
It is also necessary to teach new methods and statistical programs. When I entered the career, only two statistical programs were taught and one of them has a very expensive license for what is uncommon to occupy in working life.
Regard the duration of work, unlike other careers, it is short for the amount of material necessary to see. The academic load is high. Each test means a large amount of material to be read and statistics works long hours viewing databases.
One of the most interesting things in the career are the research and teaching methodologies.
The different electives that one can take are different tools to teach. For example, the elective of "rural sociology" helped us to work on participatory teachings with the peasant communities of San Vicente de Tagua Tagua. In other experience i remember a subject named "TIAP" in this subject i learned about the "participatory action theory", a revolutionariy method of teaching and knowledge generate
